Don’t Miss Out on the HOTTEST Event of the Year

The Chili Slam is the Austin Association of Facility & Maintenance Engineers’ (AAFAME) most anticipated event of the year. Founded in 1992 as a small volleyball tournament, this beloved tradition has grown into a full-scale festival celebrating food, friendly competition, and community.

While Chili Slam has been held at Krieg Field in years past, this year we’re excited to move to the spacious Travis County Expo Center, hosted inside the covered show barn—providing more room to compete, gather, and enjoy the day.

The event features volleyball, horseshoes, washers, ribs, a jackpot challenge, and the signature chili cook-off. With nearly 200 teams and over 1,000 participants, Chili Slam brings AAFAME members together for a high-energy day filled with camaraderie and fun.

This private, members-only appreciation event celebrates the relationships that make our industry strong. Whether you’re competing, cheering, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Chili Slam is a tradition you won’t want to miss.
